Review of the existing National Occupational Standards - Sales/ Telesales/Marketing/ Marketing Communications
We would like to invite all marketing and sales stakeholders to help revise the existing world-class national occupational standards in marketing and sales.
These standards are the nationally recognized benchmarks for best practice for marketing and sales practitioners. As such they are the basis for all nationally recognized qualifications in these areas. Given the importance of their influence we would very much welcome your input in the revision of these standards so that we ensure they are as robust as possible. To be involved, please contact Joanne Adami as soon as possible: joanneadami@cim.co.uk / 01628 427107.
Marketing and Sales Standards for non-specialists have been developed to 'distil' the functions addressed by some 150 units of marketing/sales national occupational standards.
These standards are intended to guide and inform ‘non-specialist’ marketing and sales personnel in best practice across marketing and selling activities relevant to their needs.
It is recognised that many such ‘non-specialists’ are involved in marketing and selling, be they ‘general’ managers within large organisations or such managers and/or proprietors within SMEs.
A summary functional map, that describes the key dimensions of these standards can be accessed by clicking Functional Map.
The fully detailed list of the marketing and sales units for non-specilists can be accessed from the National Occupational Standards directory by clicking NOS for Marketing and Sales non-specialists.
These standards remain valid until a new set is developed following subsequent incremental revisions.
